Kadam oil is extracted from the flowers of “Anthoephalus Cadamba” commonly called the Kadam tree. Its beautiful oil is extracted through Hydro distillation (Cold-steam Distillation is very difficult to obtain. The Kadam tree is typically found in southeast asia and particularly in different parts of India. The kadam tree has apricot-gold coloured flowers with a unique and refreshing aroma. It has amazing therapeutic and medicinal properties due to which used as analgesic or antiseptic. The essence of Kadam has been appreciated in the Hindu culture of India for many centuries. The flower of Kadam tree is considered as sacred for Hindu goddesses, mainly Goddess Durga and Lord Krishna. The kadamba flower was also the emblem of Athmallik State, one of the India’s princely states during the British rule.

Flowers of Kadam are red to orange in color in dense globe like heads, but its fruits are small, fleshy capsules packed in fleshy yellow-orange infructescence.
